The Wooden Box of Honeybee

Once, I visited an apicultural family in a mountain village. They have been keeping bees for generations.
The portrait of the family business founder was on the wall of their house. It looked like a symbol of time ticking backward to the past.

I have heard of Venezuelan Indio's folktale about "the spirit of honey". In old days, the Indios could find honey in the woods with ease, so they didn't have to keep bees among them. This man who could see the spirit of honey was always guided to the place where he can get honey in the woods. The spirit assured that he could take honey forever as far as he kept secret about the sprit. But one day he got so drunk that he forgot about the promise between them, and revealed the spirit's name to people. Since then, he never could find honey in the woods.

One night, I saw magic lantern showings in a chemical lab of a closed school. They reproduced one's memory by scanning his body with certain equipment. It was a strange evening listening to a honeybee biologist's story, who succeeded in the 1900s to reawake and keep an old species of a bee from Mesopotamian period.

El Nino, a phenomenon which represents God's Child, is a rising of sea temperature in Peruvian ocean. It turned out to be a clue to 20th century's global heating. The effect brought by sea temperature, fog and trade wind benefited some people. Some caught fish which they had never seen there before. A flower field appeared in the desert, though it had been thought impossible. The influences were far beyond people's imagination.
One botanist moved to Peru to see a flower garden in the desert himself. As a result of his scientific research, he is said to have found the flower garden.

It is said that there is some botanists behind the wall who study the plants which grow on a time line alternate from those ordinary plants we see in our daily world.
This alternate world probably emerges when you avert your eyes from those vivid colours and shapes of the leaves, and stare at the shadow space.

According to a record from conquest expedition of Inca empire, one soldier was eager to report their harsh condition to the governor in homeland. In order to escape the censor, he hid his poem in a cotton ball and tributed to the governess.

Those are the interlaced fragments of people's memories recorded in various times and places. Everyone has his world of mind, which arises when stimulated by certain place or scent. The honeybees fly around and show us those stories.
The wisdom trusted to the bees is stocked as words of honey, and the karma will be patiently repeated in hives.
The bee keeper collects the honey, the honey is passed to people.
On the other hand, memories from people's journey are collected within the bee keeper's wooden box for a long time. The fragments are freshly combined with one another, and the imaginations are transformed into a totally new creation.
